Situated close to Lake Iseo, in front of the scenery mountains of Presolana, the town Montecampione Alpiaz is one of the newest and most modern ski resorts in the region. During the summer it is also a popular destination for people who enjoy mountain trekking.
Montecampione is easily reachable from all the main cities in Northern Italy, and also from other central European departure points. E.g. it is only 110km from Milan, 50km from Bergamo and 40km from Brescia. This perfect location makes Montecampione one of the most popular skiing destinations in the region Lombardia.
The ski resort is situated at an altitude between 1200m and 1800m. There are two main starting points for skiing. At 1200m you will find Alpiaz where “La Splaza” with its square forms the heart of the Montecampione-Alpiaz ski resort, as well as the main arrival point. The second level of the resort is called “Plan” and is situated about 6km from Alpiaz with an altitude of 1800.
Montecampione offers 65km of slopes were you will always find snow, also on snow less days of the season, due to a very advanced and extensive network of artificial snow canons. Altogether there are 15 main slopes with different grades of difficulty, from children’s slopes to the professional black slopes. In total there are 15 ski lifts that transport the skiers up the mountains, of which eight are chairlifts.
